How Glow collects, stores and protects your scripts, recordings and account data, and the choices you have over them.

Last updated 15 August 2026

What we collect

Account details (email, display name), the scripts you write or generate, recordings you choose to save, and basic usage data such as plan, credit balance and take counts.

Camera and microphone

Capture only starts after you grant permission and press record. Video and audio are processed on your device; a take is uploaded only when you save it to your library.

How we use your data

To run the product: store your scripts and takes, apply plan limits, generate AI scripts and captions you request, process payments and provide support. We do not sell your data or use your recordings to train models.

Processors we rely on

Cloud hosting and database, storage for saved takes, AI providers for script and caption generation, Stripe for payments, and analytics/advertising tags for measuring signups and checkouts.

Storage and retention

Recordings and scripts remain in your account until you delete them. Deleting a take removes its file from storage. Closing your account removes your content within 30 days, apart from records we must keep for billing and legal reasons.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, private storage is scoped to your account, and access rules are enforced server-side so other users cannot read your library.
