Mirror mode and prompter rigs
How to flip the text and frame it for hardware prompters.
By the end you will have: Glow working behind beam-splitter glass on a real prompter rig.
Steps
- 1
Mount your device
Place your phone or tablet under the beam-splitter glass.
- 2
Turn mirror mode on
Text flips horizontally so it reads correctly through the glass.
- 3
Set size for the distance
Rigs sit further away — go a size or two larger than usual.
- 4
Record on the rig camera
Use Glow purely as the prompter and capture on your main camera.
Tips
Keep the screen brightness high; the glass eats a lot of light.
Lock your device orientation so nothing rotates mid-take.
